Intern- Sourcing & Planning Analytics

Position Summary

We are seeking a Sourcing & Planning Analytics Intern to support the development and analysis of data-driven sourcing and planning initiatives. This role will assist with supply chain analytics reporting and project-based analysis to help drive insights and improvements across procurement and planning functions.

This internship offers hands-on experience in procurement inventory management and supply chain analytics and provides valuable insights into key supply chain functions and overall strategies.

What Youll Do:

Analytics Tools & Process Automation

• Build and maintain data models to analyze supply chain metrics and initiatives.
• Design data pipelines and standardized templates for sourcing events (RFQ trackers inventory visuals TCO models scenario analysis).
• Create dashboards (Excel Smartsheet Power BI) for category visibility savings pipeline tracking demand vs. supply alignment planning metrics and supplier KPIs.
• Build single source of truth trackers for contracts supplier onboarding compliance documents planning tools and scorecards.
• Partner with IT/Systems to improve master data quality and implement governance checks.
• Conduct ad hoc analytics: shouldcost make/buy capacity utilization raw material net positioning VS demand MOQ optimization safety stock sensitivity and freight/logistics cost modeling.
• Develop process documentation (SOPs quick guides) and training materials for new tools and templates.

Sourcing & Planning Support

• Support RFP execution needs
• Assist with category strategies by consolidating internal demand and segmenting suppliers by performance risk and capability.
• Maintain planning inputs (lead times lot sizes min/max) and monitor exceptions to reduce expedites and stockouts.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders on timing confirmations deviations and risk mitigations with projects
• Monitor and manage inventory levels across multiple locations to ensure optimized stock levels.
• Generate inventory reports and conduct ad-hoc reporting using data tools for purchasing and planning departments.
• Conduct pricing analysis as needed on key materials for Field Turf

Qualifications:

• Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management Business Analytics or a related field (preferred).
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong note-taking and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Bi for reporting and analysis.
  • Strong in ability to learn in fast paced environment
  • Flexible and able to shift between tasks based on priority.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
