Abbott Diabetes Care has opened a new site in Kilkenny that is at the forefront of Diabetes care with the latest technology to manufacture FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and FreeStyle Sensors for use in diabetes management. Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre systems.

In this role you will drive program delivery in line with the organizationsproject management methodology. You will be responsible for leading key elements of the Lib3rty program and acting as the program voice for your given workstream You will also take ownership of the successful implementation of a set of projects that collectively can comprise a program and manage the work of project managers.

It will be a very big plus if you can bring experience in developing projects or sites from square one.

You will be responsible for

  • Leading theproject managementactivities for a given project/workstream.

  • Leading collaboration efforts across key stakeholders to ensure project risks are clearly understood & communicated in a timely manner.

  • Develop and champion governance and reporting structures to ensure project transparency and accountability.

  • Driving task & deliverable adherence to established schedule through the daily & weekly Tier meetings

  • Developing project plans (incl. scope objectives timelines schedules and resource allocation) & challenging existing program schedules.

  • Build an in depth understanding of your given workstream to drive valuable input to team discussion

  • Lead problem solving workshops to identify program gaps

  • Identify and escalate operational problems to mitigate schedule impact

  • Evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope budget or timeline of a project.

  • Select and manage ongoing off site ADC (Abbott Diabetes Care) relationships so that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.

For this position you will need to bring:

  • Project Managementexperience (PMP/Prince 2/IPMcertification or similar is desired)

  • Ideally experience leading large capital project at medical device manufacturing sites

  • Understanding ofproject lifecycle& how to manage the transition of projects from corporate concept to planning & execution at site level

  • Smartsheets and Excel experience with advanced experience being ideal .

  • Experience with Manufacturing & Quality documentation.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills ideally evidenced through leadership of workshop style sessions

  • Solid Presentation skills.

  • Ability to work cross functionally and collaborate.

  • Stakeholder management.

  • Influencing without authority

  • People managementexperience is desirable but not required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Level 7 Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Science or related discipline.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role with > 5 years experience being ideal
