About this opportunity:

The Manager Operations Technology (OT) Conventional provides leadership and strategic direction for OT SCADA automation and measurement assurance across the Conventional business unit. This role is accountable for ensuring secure reliable and compliant operations while enabling improved efficiency reduced downtime and strong measurement and regulatory performance. The Manager integrates deep technical expertise with operational alignment and people leadership to support safe optimized production and the longterm modernization of Conventional OT systems.

This position can be located in Calgary Grande Prairie Edson or Drayton Valley with approximately 25% travel required to conventional assets to provide direct mentorship guidance and operational support to site-based automation teams.

What youll do:

  • Lead Operational Technology automation SCADA and measurement assurance across the Conventional business ensuring safe reliable and compliant operations.

  • Develop and execute a multiyear OT and automation roadmap including SCADA modernization alarm management improvements HMI/graphics standards and PLC/RTU lifecycle management.

  • Establish governance and consistent automation practices across assets while ensuring alignment with internal IT cybersecurity requirements.

  • Translate complex technical challenges into practical operationally and financially realistic solutions.

  • Balance daytoday operational support and troubleshooting with longterm strategy including obsolescence management and system reliability improvements.

  • Utilize KPIs to track team performance manage workloads and continuously improve service delivery across the Conventional business unit.

  • Lead coach and mentor automation and OT professionals driving performance management workforce planning and a highperformance culture.

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

  • Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation Controls IT/OT or Engineering.

  • A licensed Professional Engineer or Technologist (APEGA/APEGS) is considered an asset.

  • Minimum of 12 years of oil and gas experience in measurement automation SCADA OT or operations.

  • Experience in leadership including managing service providers and contractors would be considered an asset.

  • Strong understanding of legacy Conventional oil and gas systems would be considered an asset.
