Job Summary
Solvere Technical Group is seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Technician II (part-time) to join our team in Norfolk VA.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts field and ship checks per Planning SOP;
- Identifies and resolves HM&E piping and structural system issues;
- Provides technical guidance; prepares inspection reports and drawing sets;
- Manages repair project development and cost estimates (C962);
- Installs and repairs locking mechanisms and keying systems aboard Navy vessels (C948)
Experience:
- 8 yrs full-time hands-on technician experience with shipboard systems (assembly overhaul repair modification maintenance)
- Knowledge of JFMM HM&E systems blueprints and work package procedures
- Ability to prepare written reports conduct technical studies and develop recommendations
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
