The Food & Beverage Communications Supervisor oversees all communication functions within the F&B department at Hersheypark. This role ensures efficient accurate and timely communication across all F&B locations while leading and supporting the Communications Coordinator team. The Supervisor promotes operational excellence workforce efficiency and exceptional internal service throughout Hershey Entertainment & Resorts.

Job Functions:

  • Supervise daily operations of the F&B Communications Base ensuring consistent and effective communication across all park locations *
  • Lead coach and support F&B Communications Coordinators to ensure high performance and adherence to departmental standards *
  • Serve as the primary communication liaison for the Food & Beverage department managing high-volume telephone and radio traffic and dispatching personnel as needed *
  • Monitor and ensure accurate entry of operational data into electronic databases and workforce management systems *
  • Oversee scheduling functions including reviewing and approving open shift requests modifying schedules creating and unassigning shifts and overriding availability settings as operationally necessary *
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates to the Hersheypark mobile application regarding Food & Beverage locations and operational changes *
  • Oversee departmental training documentation ensuring compliance and organization of records *
  • Collaborate with Operations HR IT and other internal stakeholders to maintain strong cross-departmental communication *
  • Address escalated communication or staffing concerns and provide timely resolution *
  • Maintain safety communication standards ensuring all instructions and emergency messaging are delivered clearly and effectively *
  • Assist with workforce planning staffing adjustments and operational reporting *
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Food & Beverage Hospitality/Tourism Amusement Park experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including radio and microphone communication
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Strong attention to detail with high-level data entry accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced high-volume environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to remain calm alert and professional under pressure
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while leading a team
  • Professional appearance and conduct in compliance with company guidelines
