Avantor isseekinga motivated and detail-oriented Transport & Logistics Specialist to support transportation andlogisticsactivities for our European Single-Use this hybrid role you will coordinate daily transportation flows collaborate with carriers and internal teams and contribute to process improvements that enhance cost efficiency and operational performance.
You will work closely with procurement production warehouse and customer service teams while supporting cost management initiatives.
This role is based inHillegomwith hybrid working flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Manage transportation andlogisticsoperations for the European Single-Use business (primarilyHillegomand Tilburg).
Organize and coordinate inbound outbound and irradiation transportation for raw materials and finished goods.
Build andmaintainstrong relationships with carriers freight forwarders andlogisticsservice providers.
Monitorshipment schedules track deliveries and resolve transport-related issues.
Optimizelogisticsprocesses to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Prepare and manage shipping documents customs declarations and all required paperwork.
Ensure compliance with international national and local transportation regulations.
Collaborate with internal departments (procurement production warehouse customer service) to alignlogisticswith business needs.
Analyze transportation data and generate regular KPI cost and performance reports.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across thelogisticsand supply chain function.
Contribute to the development of engineering and procurement packaging solutions for assemblies and hardware systems.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 2 years of experience in transportationlogistics or supply chainpreferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of transportation modeslogisticsoperations and regulatory requirements (including customs and import/export rules).
Experience working withlogisticssystems (TMS/WMS) and office tools such as Excel and ERP systems.
Excellent problem-solving organizational and communication skills.
Fluent Dutch (required).
English language skills.
Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
