About the Role

As a Content Marketing Intern at Cloudflare you will play a vital role in shaping the voice of our brand and engaging our audience across various digital platforms. You will contribute to creating compelling content that attracts potential customers and keeps our current community informed and engaged throughout their journey with Cloudflare. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your writing skills understand digital content strategy and learn about the intersection of technology marketing and global reach. You will be a key contributor to our team bringing fresh perspectives and a passion for storytelling to our content initiatives.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute content strategies that align with business goals.
Research write and edit engaging blog posts newsletters case studies and other marketing collateral.
Ensure all content reflects Cloudflares brand voice and maintains a high standard of quality and accuracy.
Learn and apply best practices in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and AEO (AI Engine Optimization) to optimize content for discoverability.
Adapt writing style and tone for various digital platforms and target audiences understanding the nuances of each channel.
Contribute to content planning and brainstorming sessions bringing creative ideas to the table.
Support the team in analyzing content performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Skills & Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Journalism English Marketing Communications or a related field.
Available for a full-time 12-week internship working from our Austin office 3-5 days a week during the summer (May-Aug).
A strong portfolio showcasing your writing samples across different formats (e.g. blog posts articles essays).
Demonstrable understanding of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and AEO (AI Engine Optimization) principles.
Ability to write clearly concisely and adaptably for various digital platforms and audiences.
Experience with AI editing tools brand compliance and productivity.
Strong research skills and a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Curiosity and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
A passion for technology and its impact on the internet is desirable.
