The Head Womens Volleyball Coachis responsible forproviding visionary leadership to a program with a strong tradition of excellence within the RMAC and NCAA Division II. This position oversees all aspects of the womens volleyball program while fostering an environment committed to competitive success academic achievementstudentathletewellbeing and institutional integrity.
The Head Coach will lead all phases of the programincluding recruitingpractices competition preparation budget management alumni engagement and supervision of staffwhile ensuring full compliance with NCAA RMAC and university policies.
Duties & Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Competitive Excellence
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of an elite NCAA Division II womens volleyball program.
Coordinate all practice training and competition activities to prepare the team for success.
Develop comprehensive preseasoninseason and offseason skilldevelopment programs.
Foster a positive team culture that supports the holistic growth and development of eachstudentathlete.
Recruiting &StudentAthleteDevelopment
Recruit academically and athletically qualifiedstudentathleteswho are aligned with institutional values.
Build andmaintainstrong relationships with high school and club coaches.
Monitor academic progress and work collaboratively with the Assistant Athletic DirectorforComplianceto supportstudentathletes academic success retention and graduation.
Ensurestudentathleteinvolvement in NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills SAAC and leadership development opportunities.
Program Administration & Compliance
Work with the Director of Athletics to select and schedule contests.
Manage program operations within established budgetary guidelines.
Oversee mentor and evaluate assistant coaches and support staff.
Collaborate with the Assistant Athletic Directorfor Compliance to ensure adherence to all NCAA RMAC and institutional rules.
Maintainaccuraterecords documentation and operational procedures to uphold program integrity.
Health Safety &StudentAthlete Welfare
Ensureappropriate safetystandards aremaintainedduring all team activities.
Work collaboratively with athletic trainers strength and conditioningand team physicians to support studentathlete health and returntoplay processes.
Community Engagement Fundraising & Alumni Relations
Strengthen program relationships with alumni supporters donors and community partners.
Assistin fundraising andrevenuegeneratingactivities including camps clinics and engagement events.
Serve as a visible ambassador for MSU Denver Athletics within the campus community and broader Denver region.
Other Responsibilities
Performadditionalduties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree.
Minimum of three (3) years of collegiate coaching experience.
Demonstrated success in recruiting prospectivestudent athletes.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree.
Successful collegiate head coaching experience.
Strong knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations.
Demonstrated experience with fundraising revenue generation and alumni engagement.

Salary for Announcement
Under Colorado law MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience skills knowledge abilities education licensure and certifications analysis of internal equity and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
