Job Summary
As a Brake Press Operator you will play a critical role in shaping the metal components that drive our production forward. This position offers the opportunity to apply your technical skills in a hands-on environment while directly impacting the quality precision and performance of our finished productsall within a fast-paced team-oriented manufacturing setting.
Essential Duties:
- Set up brake press machines according to work orders blueprints and job specifications.
- Select and install proper tooling and adjust machine settings to achieve required dimensions angles and tolerances.
- Load and position metal materials such as steel aluminum and other alloys for processing.
- Inspect finished parts to verify quality accuracy and conformance to specifications.
- Use measuring devices to check dimensions bend angles and overall part quality.
- Make adjustments to machine settings or tooling as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
- Complete required production documentation including quantities produced scrap time and material usage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards.
- Follow all company safety policies procedures and PPE requirements while operating machinery and handling materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a Brake Press Operator or in a similar metal fabrication role preferred.
- Experience working with various metals and bending techniques is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment may be required.
- Understanding of safe machine operation and proper material handling practices.
