As a Security Officer Gatehouse Patrol in Washington DC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a renowned cultural institution where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service and communication to guests and this dynamic location you will support daily operations with agility reliability innovation teamwork and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for all.

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors staff and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
• Respond to incidents unusual activity and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries exhibit areas public spaces and perimeter locations to help identify concerns and report security-related issues.
• Monitor access points assist with visitor directions and/or entry procedures and help support orderly movement of guests during normal operations special events and/or peak attendance periods.
• Observe the location for policy violations maintenance concerns and/or suspicious behavior and relay information to the appropriate personnel in accordance with post instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
