Job Summary

We invite you to join the world of hospitality at Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire as our new Chef de Partie. The Chef de Partie plays a key role in leading the Flower & Wolf Culinary team by supervising and ensuring consistent preparation of high-quality dishes while maintaining kitchen efficiency and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Culinary Preparation & Food Quality

  • Oversee preparation and presentation of menu items at an assigned station.
  • Ensure consistency quality and adherence to recipes and standards.
  • Support menu development and culinary innovation when required.

Kitchen Operations & Efficiency

  • Manage prep lists and ensure service readiness.
  • Monitor food cost awareness and minimize waste.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Supervise and mentor junior culinary colleagues.
  • Foster teamwork and professional kitchen culture.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen leadership and front-of-house teams.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain safe and efficient kitchen operations

Qualifications :

What will you bring to this role

  • Minimum 6 years culinary experience in progressive roles.
  • Journeyperson/Red Seal certification and Food Handler certification required.
  • Advanced culinary techniques and plating standards with a deep understanding of menu execution and product quality
  • Food cost awareness and waste management along with station leadership and service coordination
  • Leadership experience with supervising and mentoring junior cooks and supporting culinary leadership in operational decision-making

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during service.
  • Frequent lifting pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-temperature kitchen environment.
