Summary of Job Duties:

Come join our dynamic therapy community fitness and sports medicine family as an inpatient PT. This position will work Thursday - Sunday. Help guide our clients through their healing journey! **Sign On Bonus Available if Eligible**

This position is located at The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital (TOSH) on the UAMS Campus in Little Rock. The position will be integral in treating post-operative joint and spine patients in both inpatient and PACU settings. We value mentorships continuing education and a multidisciplinary approach to care.

The inpatient physical therapist provides an individualized evaluation during which the client family/caregiver and physical therapist determine the patients goals customize interventions to optimize the persons ability to perform functional activities and continuously assess progress towards goals to ensure goals are being met and/or to modify the intervention plan based on the patients needs and skills. Functional outcomes data is collected through the collection of best practice data via patient questionnaires performance measures and documented treatment interventions.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2002 OR Masters degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2016 OR Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy;

  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy or eligible for licensure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree OR Doctorate in Physical Therapy

  • 2 years of experience in Physical Therapy


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Completes direct and indirect patient care to evaluate create plans of care coordinate care educate and treat patients.

  • Completes best practice patient care documentation and appropriate review of patient PHI before implementing and during direct patient care plans for both insurance reimbursement and Joint Commission standards.

  • Initiates multi-disciplinary collaborative efforts with referring providers to communicate patient progress and outcomes to ensure best practice patient care is provided.

  • Other Duties As Assigned
