What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors staff and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings parking areas entrances and perimeter locations while maintaining an armed presence that may help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols including verifying credentials observing for unusual behavior and reporting security-related concerns.
- Support staff and visitors during medical-related emergencies de-escalation situations and/or high-stress interactions while following post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Act 235 qualification is required in Pennsylvania only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
