Job Summary

The GRCC Technology Store Clerk is responsible for managing both the physical GRCC store and the GRCC Online Store. Key responsibilities include managing inventory in the TeamDynamix asset management database maintaining the Online Store website using Wix coordinating sales events and promotions organizing and maintaining the physical store and online space stocking shelves and providing top-notch customer service in both in-person and online interactions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintains the GRCC Online Store website using Wix including updating inventory listing new items and running sales reports.
  • Manages the GRCC stores social media feeds for Facebook and Twitter ensuring both physical and online store offerings are accurately represented.
  • Uses photo editing software to create professional product images for the online store and follows accessibility standards.
  • Ensures accurate inventory for both the physical and online store using TeamDynamix and Wix.
  • Tests electronic surplus ensuring all devices are clean and functional free of proprietary GRCC or student data.
  • Organizes storage areas to efficiently manage incoming inventory for both physical and online sales preparing items for sale donation or disposal as needed.
  • Researches and sets competitive prices for surplus items balancing quick sales with fair returns for GRCC.
  • Creates clear accurate product descriptions and images to represent items sold online and in person.
  • Coordinates and processes approved donations and works to verify the legitimacy of nonprofit organizations.
  • Collaborates with customers for timely pickup of purchased items for both in-store and online orders.
  • Generates sales reports to ensure transparency and maintain inventory integrity including reports on sales tax inventory and customer information.
  • Manages disposal of surplus items that cannot be sold or donated ensuring compliance with GRCCs standards.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and organization of both the physical store and storage areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • National Career Readiness Certificate preferred but not required.

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of web design and photo editing.
  • General knowledge of computer hardware and software including laptop and desktop hardware and components.
  • General knowledge of accounting finance marketing and logistics.
  • Strong written oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Physical Demands

  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Lifting equipment in excess of 50lbs.

Mental Demands

  • Must be able to work unsupervised for long periods of time.
  • An interest in working with diverse student populations who represent a wide range of age ethnicity national origin and ability.
  • Demonstrated responsiveness initiative and organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to perform routine and unexpected duties.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours (i.e. evenings and night) including occasional weekends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that calls for flexibility/adaptability and the ability to handle multiple interruptions and make quick decisions.
