Job Summary

As a seasonal Adoption Counselor at WHS you will make an impact by offering valuable services to the community and providing support to animals. Position Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Commit to a welcoming supportive and non-judgmental approach with all clients callers and coworkers
- Help animals find new homes via our same-day adoption process
- Support client questions in person by phone and via email
- Process register transactions and support customers with products in retail store
- Maintain accurate and objective records in our animal management software
- Work cooperatively within your own department and cross departmentally
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Available to work daytime evening and weekend shifts
- Position begins mid-May and concludes in September dates negotiable
- Must be able to routinely carry 25lbs and up to 50lbs
- Must be committed to our organizational values of compassion respect and kindness innovation professionalism equity and positive approach
- Ability to partner with clients staff and volunteers from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to manage assigned personal schedule and timecard
- Prior client services and animal experience a plus
- Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply
