POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Accountant Payroll Accounting serves a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and recording of compensation accounting transactions for Cheniere Energy Inc. and its subsidiaries (individually and collectively the Company) subject to external and U.S. GAAP reporting requirements.

This role will interact closely with various departments including Human Resources Financial Reporting Legal and Tax.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Prepare accounting and reporting records for share-based compensation including the reconciliation of all related transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This will also involve supporting the footnote disclosures required for the companys financial statement filings.
Generate various reports and schedules related to share-based compensation accounting for monthly and quarterly internal and external reporting needs.
Conduct initial U.S. GAAP research as necessary regarding plan changes and new accounting and reporting guidelines related to share-based compensation. Participate in the preparation of presentations and implementation planning.
Assist in developing the annual budget for share-based compensation and monitor variances between the budget and actual expenses.
Prepare and record monthly ADP payroll analyze payroll expenses and determine allocations for payroll.
Prepare assigned balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare and record allocations for payroll and bonus costs.
Support the monthly accounting close process.
Support the Companys annual budget process and monthly forecast maintenance.
Additional assignments as assigned by the Manager of Payroll Accounting.
Carry out additional tasks assigned by the Manager Payroll Accounting.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Must have in-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements related to payroll accounting.

Organized and able to manage multiple activities timely and with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to work effectively at short notice and off hours as required.


QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS)
Education and Certifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or actively working towards CPA certification is required.

Experience: Minimum three (3) years of relevant progressive accounting experience including (i) data processing systems in the accounting and reporting environment and (ii) general accounting support. Previous experience with Payroll accounting Oracle ERP and/or Hyperion preferred.

WORK CONDITIONS
Job is performed in a typical office environment but is subject to time pressures and constraints and is often dependent on input from others
Occasionally work may be performed from home after normal work hours or on weekends
