Reporting to the Senior Vice President Borrowing Solutions the Vice-President Mortgage Advice (VP) is accountable for providing leadership and management of CIBCs mobile sales workforces. The priority is to build a market differentiating capability that will position CIBC as a leader in this space through a team of top performing sales professionals comprised of Mobile Mortgage Advisors and Mortgage Options Specialists. The VP provides strategic leadership and guidance for the development of sales strategies and plans to achieve short and long term financial and strategic objectives while managing operational and credit risk within assigned limits. Other accountabilities include the development and implementation of sales and business development strategies and campaigns that will increase CIBCs representation in the marketplace while meeting business and client expectations.

What Youll be Doing

  • Develop the vision and implement short and long-term market strategies that drive business growth.

  • Lead the development of an innovative mobile channel transformation that is focused on franchising and deepening client relationships across Personal Banking and Imperial Service.

  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the mobile sales teams to ensure individual and business goals are achieved and/or exceeded. This includes attracting aligning motivating and retaining a team with the competencies to meet present and future goals.

  • Develop and maintain senior level relationship management of internal and external partners to meet expectations and service levels.

  • Maximize internal efficiencies and improve business effectiveness across the Mortgage Advice channel particularly as it relates to technology training sales effectiveness requirements and resource allocation.

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the sales workforce across multiple brands and channels with particular emphasis on expansion of mortgage segments and related activities by partnering with Canadas real estate industry and homebuilders to generate new mortgage business.

  • Provide one-stop mortgage services to all mortgage referral sources and consumers including the builder mortgage business.

  • Partner with Personal Banking & Imperial Service to develop and implement creative strategies for growth and identify joint marketing activities that heighten brand awareness grow customer base and enhance the overall customer experience.

  • Balance growth and profitability objectives by driving volume acquisition while maintaining disciplined pricing and business economics across the portfolio.

  • Establish a culture and work environment that attracts retains and motivates the highest caliber of skilled professionals by setting appropriate context when assigning work to ensure that individuals roles support the achievement of the business units priorities and CIBCs overall goals and creates a positive work environment.

  • Expert knowledge of general business affairs and of the general operation of the financial services industry.

  • Knowledge and ability to maintain high level of enthusiasm motivation and commitment leading to the achievement of a desired vision values and performance.

  • Knowledge to interpret information on external and internal factors and derive conclusions and the ability to apply planning models to develop and access business plans.

  • Knowledge of risk and portfolio management principles and the ability to measure manage and monitor risk within the Banks guidelines.

  • Expert knowledge of business risk factors and the ability to interpret and mitigate their effect on the business.
