Responsibilities- Lead the PSS new products (both scanning and mobility) development from concept specification design simulation and verification to release to mass production
- Field issues analysis and problem solving
- Act as mechanical lead in the assigned NPI project to drive all the mechanical related deliverables
- Requirements analysis
- Requirements decomposition
- Systems integration
- Systems validation & verification
- Design for requirements quality manufacturing cost mindset
- Identifying maturing and implementing new materials
- Driving technology and products innovation
- System Engineering knowledge base and skills
Qualifications- Bachelors Degree or above in Mechanical Design Engineering or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years design engineering experience is a must previously act as lead mechanical engineer or has mobile products development experience is a plus
- Experience successfully developing at least 2 products through its full lifecycle
- Familiar with NPI process and project management principles
- Fluent skill in both written and oral English
- 3D design tool expert Creo is must
- Knowledge of material and design guidelines for plastic metal and die cast parts
- Knowledge on molding structure/fabrication injection process/defects analysis
- Tolerance analysis
- Individuals that quickly analyze incorporate and apply new information and concepts.
- Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision who consistently take the initiative to get things done
- Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks
Preferred Experience:
- Have a fundamental understanding of product development manufacturing simulation methods and techniques FMEA and other engineering principles
- Solid understanding of plastic injection molding sheet metal design metal diecasting
- Experience with high reliability products sealing techniques IP67 or above
- Expertise in one of the following: Mechanical Engineering Materials Science Polymer Chemistry Acoustic Optic etc.
- Experience in industrial grade production process and techniques is a plus
- Confident self-motivated mature person with the ability to connect and inspire others
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
