As a Security Officer - Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Shift in Brooklyn NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential Shelter and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents guests staff and/or service providers by following site-specific procedures access guidelines and security-related policies and by supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents disputes medical calls alarms and/or other critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and request assistance from management and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of residential and shelter areas including common spaces entrances stairwells perimeters and parking areas when applicable to help identify unusual activity hazards and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entry points and visitor activity as assigned verify identification and/or authorization maintain sign-in and key control processes when applicable and help direct individuals to the appropriate resources or staff.
- Complete detailed reports and logs on patrol activity incidents and/or resident interactions communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision and support follow-up actions per post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have 1 years of security-related experience.
- Be 21 years of age.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
