Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU / CICU)
Desired Location: Rochester New York
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) CVICU/CICU to provide critical care in a high-acuity cardiovascular intensive care unit. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience flexibility to support Med/Surg-level assignments when required and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitoring
Administer medications and manage complex treatment plans
Monitor cardiac status and respond to emergency situations
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR system
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
Float or assist in Med/Surg patient care (as needed)
Ensure adherence to patient safety and infection control protocols
Required Qualifications
Active New York State RN License (must be in hand at submission)
BLS ACLS and NIHSS Certifications required
Minimum 1 year of CVICU/CICU or critical care experience
Experience with EPIC EMR system
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
