For an exciting assignment with our customer Siemens Smart Infrastructure we are looking for a Data Engineer (f/m/d) who is passionate about designing and operating highly scalable cloudnative data platforms on AWSenabling datadriven development and supporting advanced AI/ML solutions in a complex IoT environment.
If you are an AWSstrong Data Engineer with production experience we value this more than prior domainspecific background.
In this project-based role you can work from anywhere in Austria. The position is available immediately and offered as a full-time role (38.5 hours/week).
Your tasks
- Design build and operate robust productiongrade data products and data infrastructure in AWS
- Architect and implement scalable secure and costefficient data pipelines using AWS-native services
- Work closely with data scientists ML engineers and development teams to define data contracts schemas and access patterns
- Enable and support automated AI/ML and MLOps workflows including repeatable training and deployment pipelines
- Drive best practices for Infrastructure as Code CI/CD and cloud observability in a large-scale AWS environment
Your qualifications
- 3 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on AWS cloud environments
- Strong handson experience designing and operating scalable data platforms on AWS
(e.g. S3 Glue Athena Lambda SageMaker; production-level experience required) - Proven track record in building and maintaining reliable data pipelines at scale
with a clear focus on performance cost efficiency and operational stability - Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL including working with large distributed datasets
(experience with Spark / PySpark is a strong advantage) - Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD in cloud environments
(CDK Terraform or CloudFormation; automated deployments are standard practice) Ability and interest to enable AI/ML use cases on top of data platforms
(ML pipelines MLOps or AI engineering affinity; data as the foundation for AI solutions)Excellent communication skills able to translate real-world use cases into scalable technical solutions; fluent in English
Experience with IoT time-series data or large-scale sensor data is highly desirable
Our Offer
The monthly gross salary according to the collective agreement of the electrical and electronics industry for this function is at least EUR4.51555(this in any case exceeds the collective agreement minimum salary). Depending on your education and experience an overpayment is will determine your final salary during a personal conversation.
