Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepare the bid submission for opportunities as mentioned above.
• Provide technical substation design and primary plant expertise to develop technical solutions as part of the tendering process while interfacing with the commercial team.
• Technical analysis of client needs to define and optimise products selection
• Prepare technical documentation for bid submission defining scope (description); schedule; cost considering contract and internal policies and procedures.
• Preparation of equipment/services technical specifications.
• In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own -depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.
• Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.
• Has access to technical skills and analytical thinking required to solve problems.
• May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to achieve results.

• Responsible for issuing consolidation of provisional drawing list of the project or of your work package integrating submission dates.
• Manage global time schedule of concerned engineering activities check coherency of links between engineering activities and other project functions activities (procurement construction commissioning) and organise follow up of critical activities of the project or of your discipline.
• Plan and manage delivery time of technical interfaces with your work package put in place exchange interface sheets with partners customer and third-party contractors.
• Ensure on-time delivery of design to stakeholders with suitable quality including Partner documents.
• For large & complex projects support Project Engineering Director and Project I&I manager in the engineering change management.
• Lead & coordinate design teams youll be supported by Primary Secondary and Civil Designers.
• Follow the engineering budget and identify potential savings and highlight to the Project Manager all instances requiring additional budget.
• Participate and contribute to the project multidisciplinary design reviews according to the EMH procedures and per the project strategy.
• Manage scope or design changes & prepare related claims and VO to be approved by Project Engineering Director or Project Manager.
• Analyse customer technical requirements prepare and or consolidate clause by clause analysis and ensure compliance to Customer requirements through Technical Queries identify track manage potential change.
• Represent customer interests in the design decisions at Project Managers request.
• Validate design throughout customer acceptance.
• Ensure that Management of return status of project documentation internal or external (approved comments resubmit rejected) is performed for your work package.
• Prepare or review technical specifications and suppliers documents to enable procurement of materials and plant detailed design.
• Check effectiveness of design against delivery of contract requirements within project budget and look for global cost optimisation in all design phase and mainly during basic design.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Engineering degree level or equivalent education/experience
• Experience of Engineering activities as lead engineer in EPC type environment.
• Successful experience in project technical management in a multi-disciplinary teams context including multiple interfaces and with products coming from several countries.

Desired Characteristics:

• Knowledge of the Transmission or Distribution industry is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are advantageous.
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Renewable Energy systems is beneficial.
• Knowledge of GIS systems is beneficial.
