Position: QC Technician II
Location: Fair Lawn NJ 07410
Duration: 12 Months
Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM
Summary
  • The QC Technician II performs analytical testing to support manufacturing operations including in-line and finished product release testing.
  • This role involves preparing samples operating laboratory instrumentation documenting results and supporting quality investigations while ensuring compliance with laboratory standards and continuous improvement practices.
Responsibilities
  • Perform fit-for-purpose analytical testing to support manufacturing and product release.
  • Prepare standards and samples and operate laboratory instrumentation with minimal supervision.
  • Document and report testing data in LIMS systems and laboratory notebooks following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Assist in out-of-specification (OOS) investigations by performing testing and documenting results.
  • Recommend improvements to instrumentation methods and laboratory processes.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization (housekeeping).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Analytical Chemistry Organic Chemistry Biochemistry Biology or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of industry or relevant experience preferably in chemistry or biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Hands-on experience with wet chemistry techniques.
  • Basic experience with analytical instruments and chromatography.
  • Knowledge of LIMS systems and laboratory documentation practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with analytical standards such as ACS USP/NF EP/BP JP and FCC.
  • Strong computer and scientific data analysis skills.
  • Experience reviewing laboratory notebooks and analytical data.
  • Understanding of analytical chemistry techniques and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies for problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Experience in process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
