Job Summary

Mandatory Qualifications:

Level III- More than seven (7) years of experience working on complex projects with 2 or more years in a leadership role as a Developer
More than 7 years of experience as a Java developer including experience in Java/J2EE and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles design patterns and SOLID principles.
More than 7 years of experience with popular frameworks particularly Spring (Spring Boot Spring MVC Spring Security) and ORM technologies like Hibernate or JPA.

Desirable Qualifications:

More than 7 years of proven experience designing building and maintaining microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
More than 7 years of experience with testing frameworks (e.g. JUnit Mockito) and proficiency with build tools like Maven or Gradle.
More than 7 years of experience with major cloud platforms like AWS Azure or GCP including an understanding of containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
More than 7 years of experience with DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
2 years of experience working in a federal or state government setting (Health and Human Services especially in Integrated Eligibility System programs such as PA TA SNAP HEAP Fair Hearings Child Support etc. preferred) More than 7 years of experience with relational databases (e.g. Oracle PostgreSQL) and SQL as well as experience with NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities:

Design development and implement complex high-volume and low-latency Java applications.
Develop software solutions by analyzing current systems determining technical requirements and ensuring designs conform to business goals.
Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define application objectives features and functionality.
Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from initial analysis to deployment and maintenance.
Identify and resolve immediate and potential technical issues including complex production problems like memory leaks and network failures.
Recommend upgrades and changes to existing Java infrastructure to improve functionality performance and system longevity.
Collaborate the deployment of new features and monitor for successful integration ensuring system stability.
Assist in creating and maintaining detailed technical and user support documentation.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies industry trends and best practices and introduce innovations where applicable.
