Job Summary

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Level III- More than seven (7) years of experience working on complex projects with 2 or more years in a leadership role as a Developer
  • More than 7 years of experience as a Java developer including experience in Java/J2EE and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles design patterns and SOLID principles.
  • More than 7 years of experience with popular frameworks particularly Spring (Spring Boot Spring MVC Spring Security) and ORM technologies like Hibernate or JPA.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • More than 7 years of proven experience designing building and maintaining microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
  • More than 7 years of experience with testing frameworks (e.g. JUnit Mockito) and proficiency with build tools like Maven or Gradle.
  • More than 7 years of experience with major cloud platforms like AWS Azure or GCP including an understanding of containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • More than 7 years of experience with DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
  • 2 years of experience working in a federal or state government setting (Health and Human Services especially in Integrated Eligibility System programs such as PA TA SNAP HEAP Fair Hearings Child Support etc. preferred) More than 7 years of experience with relational databases (e.g. Oracle PostgreSQL) and SQL as well as experience with NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities:

  • Design development and implement complex high-volume and low-latency Java applications.
  • Develop software solutions by analyzing current systems determining technical requirements and ensuring designs conform to business goals.
  • Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define application objectives features and functionality.
  • Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from initial analysis to deployment and maintenance.
  • Identify and resolve immediate and potential technical issues including complex production problems like memory leaks and network failures.
  • Recommend upgrades and changes to existing Java infrastructure to improve functionality performance and system longevity.
  • Collaborate the deployment of new features and monitor for successful integration ensuring system stability.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining detailed technical and user support documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies industry trends and best practices and introduce innovations where applicable.
