Position Overview
ND Global Consulting Services Inc. (NDGCS) is seeking a and nbsp;licensed Neurologist (MD/DO) and nbsp;to provide and nbsp;in-patient neurology consultation services and nbsp;at and nbsp;Kingsboro Psychiatric Center and nbsp;in Brooklyn NY. This is a and nbsp;part-time on-site and nbsp;consulting role supporting clinical evaluation treatment recommendations coordination with facility staff and consult documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide and nbsp;on-site neurology consultations and nbsp;for in-patients during scheduled clinic hours (8 hours/month).
- Conduct and nbsp;neurological examinations and assessments and nbsp;(e.g. seizures dementia neurological deficits) and recommend appropriate workup/treatment.
- Review medications and clinical history; recommend testing and and nbsp;interpret results and nbsp;as needed.
- Coordinate with clinic personnel to ensure patients are scheduled appropriately and consult with referring providers as indicated.
- Complete and nbsp;consult reports/documentation and nbsp;in the facilitys required format and within required timelines.
- Participate in facility-required and nbsp;trainings and nbsp;and comply with applicable Federal/State requirements.
Schedule / Work Hours
- 8 hours per month total
- Typically and nbsp;4 hours every other week and nbsp;(scheduled clinic days)
- Exact clinic day/time will be coordinated with the facility
Credentialing and amp; Onboarding (Required)
- Must complete facility and nbsp;credentialing/privileging which may include submission of professional documents (license registrations etc.) background check and other verifications.
- Facility onboarding/training may be required and nbsp;prior to start and nbsp;(may include consecutive onboarding days depending on facility process).
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO and nbsp;with neurology training
- Active unrestricted New York State medical license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
- Ability to work and nbsp;on-site in Brooklyn NY
- Strong clinical documentation skills and ability to follow facility reporting formats
- Willingness to complete credentialing/onboarding requirements and background checks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with and nbsp;in-patient neurology consults
- Experience working in institutional hospital or behavioral health/psychiatric settings
- Familiarity with EMR documentation workflows
