The Role
As a Technical Support Engineer you will act as a key point of contact for customers and internal teams providing technical guidance troubleshooting support and product expertise. This is a varied role combining office-based support with occasional involvement in projects and customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support to customers via phone and email resolving product and application queries
Diagnose faults and offer effective solutions in a timely manner
Work closely with engineering production and sales teams to ensure customer requirements are met
Assist with product selection and specification support
Prepare technical documentation reports and user guidance
Support continuous improvement initiatives and feedback into product development
Maintain accurate records of support cases and resolutions
Requirements
Previous experience in a Technical Support Engineer or similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong technical understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
