Job Summary
This position is responsible for removing finished product from the main production line and transporting it to designated warehouse storage locations using a forklift. The operator moves materials and products throughout production warehouse and storage areas to support efficient workflow. A strong focus on safety accuracy and careful operation of industrial equipment is essential to keep materials in the right place at the right time.
Responsibilities:
- Remove finished product from the main production line and transporting it to designated warehouse storage
- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
- Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
- Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment following inventory control instructions
- Stacking empty pallets
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
Requirements:
- Able to lift 35 pounds.
- Work jobs that have repetitive motion.
- Implement and follow safe work practices and rules.
- Proven experience as forklift operator
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Good math language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
- Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
- Execute assignments in an accurate timely and safe manner
- Maintain a clean & safe environment
- May be required to useRF scanner gun
- High School diploma or equivalent
