WHAT WILL YOU DO:
This position communicates with employees and departments regarding pay and other customer concerns or complaints to resolve issues. Interprets monitors and analyzes information as it relates to payroll processing. Processes payroll per establish guidelines and timing. Reviews data before and after the actual payroll process. Performs functions in support of the day-to-day operations of Payroll. Provides feedback in planning and development of department goals strategies and processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Process/update manager self service transactions (tax and direct deposit updates).
Process/analyze payroll queries for updates to FICA taxes students with SUI Presheet Audit.
Review timesheets in OneUSG Connect for exceptions (missed punches long intervals).
Enter pay entries in automated on-line entry panel each bi-weekly cycle.
Enter pay entries on payroll manual spreadsheet each biweekly & biweekly off cycle payroll.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree and two years of related experience; or a high school or GED and six years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Requires good interpersonal communication skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and managers.
Good written communication skills are also required.
Strong organizational skills and highly detail-orientated professional
Ability to comfortably work in a fast-paced environment.
Skilled in MS Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint & Word)
A high degree of discretion professional ethics and judgment in confidential matters and information
Ability to maintain composure and good judgment when dealing with deadlines dissatisfied employees or a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
