Job Description
As a Security Guard - Unarmed Bike Patrol Driver in Chicago IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location you will conduct routine patrols on foot by bike and in a vehicle as part of a driving post maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will engage with employees and visitors through clear communication and customer service document observations and support a team that is agile reliable innovative and always acts with integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures site-specific policies and customer service expectations at a technology location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting appropriate internal staff and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings common areas parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and lobby or reception areas as assigned verifying authorization assisting with visitor management and reporting irregular activity per site procedures.
- Complete detailed reports and logs regarding patrol findings incidents and security-related observations and communicate updates to supervisors and site representatives as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 2 or more years of law enforcement military police and/or corrections experience.
- Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be 21 or more years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be able to ride a bike.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
