Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Salinas CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location in Central California as an armed patrol officer monitoring assigned areas and conducting routine foot and/or vehicle patrols. You will stay highly visible to help reduce incidents respond to alarms and service calls document observations and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors employees and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures post orders and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Carry a duty weapon in accordance with licensing requirements training standards and site policies and use sound judgment and de-escalation techniques to help reduce risk during confrontations.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with on-site personnel and/or local law enforcement as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas checking doors gates restricted areas and unusual conditions to help to deter prohibited activity.
- Complete detailed reports logs and required notifications for incidents patrol activity and access events using Allied Universal reporting procedures and client documentation requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
