Wilkes University invites applicants for an open Theatre high school teaching enrichment position in the Upward Bound Program for the summer session. Upward Bound is a federally funded Trio Program which provides support to participants in their preparation for college and ultimately in their higher education pursuits.
The successful candidate is responsible for implementing the enrichment component of the Program by introducing theatre history while working to put on a live production with a small group of high school-level students to be presented to students parents and other Upward Bound staff. A Bachelors degree in Theatre and/or a related field is required.
Please note that this is only a part-time temporary position with a competitive hourly wage. Dates run from June 22nd through July 31st and classes are held Mondays through Thursdays. (1:15 P.M. 2:30 P.M.).
