Were looking for a dynamic Social Media & Content Specialist to join the Flight Centre marketing team. If youre a creative storyteller platformnative content creator and data-driven social media marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment this role is for you.
This position is responsible for planning executing and optimising Flight Centres organic social media strategy and content production across multiple platforms. Youll play a key role in boosting brand awareness engagement enquiries and overall marketing performance.
Working collaboratively with marketing product customer experience and leadership teams you will own content creation social media calendars analytics community engagement and hands-on campaign management (including Meta & TikTok ads).
Role Highlights
- Lead and manage Flight Centres social media presence across Facebook Instagram X TikTok and YouTube
- Develop content strategies create content calendars and execute high-quality multimedia content
- Monitor trends platform updates and apply insights to grow engagement and reach
- Partner with internal teams and leadership to enhance brand reputation and social uplift
- Create content for live events and realtime brand moments
- Train team members on social media best practices and guide leaders in building personal brand presence
- Manage Meta and TikTok ads reporting optimisation and performance analytics
- Produce regular reporting using GA4 and Looker Studio
- Collaborate with Customer Experience teams on community management and engagement
What Youll Do
- Plan create publish and manage content across all social media platforms
- Build content calendars aligned to campaigns brand voice and marketing objectives
- Capture and edit compelling lofi video and visual content
- Analyse social performance metrics identify opportunities and optimise content strategy
- Provide insight-driven recommendations to improve account performance
- Execute and optimise paid social campaigns with strong attention to audience targeting bidding and creative variations
- Conduct A/B testing to improve ROAS CPA CPM and CTR
- Manage budget allocation for paid campaigns
- Submit weekly and monthly reporting to stakeholders
- Support cross-functional teams with promotions collaborations and brand initiatives
What Were Looking For
- 5 Years Marketing Experience - Specializing in Social Media
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create high-quality content independently (video copy imagery)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working with global and local teams in a fast-paced environment
- Digital fluency and familiarity with social media tools and content management systems
- Ability to explain content decisions audience logic and optimisation techniques clearly
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Marketing Communications or similar)
- Experience with Meta Ads Manager & TikTok Ads Manager
- Understanding of digital marketing fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with content creation and editing
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
- Experience using cameras and editing tools for video creation
Added Advantage:
- Travel industry experience
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with community management tools and analytics dashboards
- Strong proofreading and copy-editing skills
- Understanding of broader digital ecosystem interactions (social web CX CRM)
