About Rotherfield Primary School


We are a warm and welcoming one-form primary school nestled in the heart of East Sussex. We are proud of our strong enrichment programme offering a wide range of after-school activities and clubs including a breakfast club from 7:30am and an after-school club until 6pm making us a vital part of the local community.


Our bespoke curriculum spans Science RE History Geography Art and Design Technology with exciting developments in Music and Computing underway this year. We also follow the Read Write Inc phonics programme to build strong foundations in literacy.


About the Role


This is an exciting opportunity to join us either as an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher. Whilst this is a maternity position we could make this permanent for the right person.

You will

  • Deliver engaging high-quality teaching that challenges and motivates every child including those with special educational needs or other individual needs.
  • Plan and assess thoughtfully to ensure progress and attainment for all pupils.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of our curriculum and school improvement priorities with a focus on supporting vulnerable children and adapting to changing pupil needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues parents and the wider community to enrich the learning experience.
  • Participate actively in school life and supporting our strong safeguarding culture.
