Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Kaitaki Awhinuku - Team Leader Service Provision to join the Mana Taurite me te Oranga Tauira - Student Equity and Wellbeing Portfolio team on a permanent full-time basis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of administration staff to ensure they are effectively managed to provide professional and timely customer service for students accessing equity services.
  • Foster a positive focused collaborative innovative and inclusive team culture.
  • Collaborate with key service delivery partners to ensure students receive a seamless service.
  • Lead the continuous development of service provision to ensure it meets the needs of todays student and is delivered effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide timely engaging communication and events content to support students to be well informed and connected.
  • Contribute to service development and planning including the coordination and management of projects.

Ō pūmanawa - About you

You will be a results-driven administration lead with proven expertise in managing front-line teams streamlining complex service delivery and upholding high standards of customer service.

Key requirements:

  • Proven service leadership experience supporting a front-line team fostering a positive collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • Experience in overseeing day-to-day operations including planning and task management.
  • A genuine commitment to the upholding the dignity of equity students.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and experience with databases or client management systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
