Requirements:
- Active Arizona licensure
- Board certification
- AHA BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum 1-year Urology experience or equivalent
Job Responsibilities (Generalized):
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of system disorders in adults and potentially children (depending on the position)
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays CT scans and blood tests
- Perform procedures to diagnose and treat digestive conditions (depending on the scope of practice)
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Manage chronic digestive conditions and provide ongoing patient care
- Collaborate with other specialists when needed to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients
- Stay current on the latest advancements in specialty through continuing education
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of specialty principles and practices including diagnosis treatment and prevention of diseases
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
- Technical proficiency in performing procedures (if applicable)
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing patent conditions
- Time management and organizational skills to manage a patient workload effectively
Requirements
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
- Fellowship training in Urology (may be preferred depending on the position)
Licenses & Certifications:
- Board certification in Urology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the AOA
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Arizona
Experience:
- While specific requirements may vary most locum physician positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty
