Your New Role...
Theatrical Sales and Release Strategy
- Lead the development of release strategies and booking plans ensuring strong execution and alignment with business objectives.
- Negotiate bookings directly with film buyers at major exhibition circuits proactively resolving discrepancies and commercial issues.
- Define commercial terms pricing structures and rental models and submit recommendations for approval to the VP Theatrical Distribution.
- Maintain continuous senior level contact with key circuits to ensure strong long term partnerships and optimal theatrical performance.
- Manage relationships with the wider exhibitor base intervening where needed to resolve operational or commercial challenges.
- Provide timely information to exhibitors regarding release schedules results and other relevant information on the Warner Bros. line up.
Business Analysis Forecasting and Reporting
- Lead performance analysis for the slate combining market intelligence with internal results to drive commercial decisions.
- Deliver regular and ad hoc reporting to local leadership Regional and Home Office teams ensuring accuracy consistency and actionable insights.
- Conduct market studies trends analysis competitive analysis and market share reviews.
- Prepare GBO billing and revenue forecasts as well as periodic business reviews and end of year performance reporting.
- Provide business research and analysis on new opportunities business areas and industry developments.
- Coordinate and supervise internal data preparation for cross functional stakeholders (Sales Marketing Finance and Management).
Operational Oversight Tools and Process Excellence
- Supervise and optimize distribution logistics to ensure efficient resource allocation across releases.
- Oversee the activity of external agencies supporting theatrical operations (booking strategy rental terms credit collection etc.).
- Coordinate develop and implement new business tools to improve processes increase efficiency and reduce workload.
- Supervise internal department procedures and ensure best practice compliance.
- Review and approve exhibitor contracts and entries in MACCS.
- Act as the approved KDM approver in MACCS.
- Supervise the theatre checking strategy and ensure compliance reporting accuracy and effective management of box office checking partners.
Financial Risk Management and Budget Support
- Monitor exhibitor financial exposure evaluate debt risk and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Support credit control decisions in partnership with Finance and internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with Finance on BORs invoicing and payment related issues.
- Provide box office collection and theatre checking expense data to support the preparation of the divisions operating budget.
- Approve all costs related to VPFs.
Trade Marketing Events and Cross Functional Support
- Oversee the planning development and approval of trade marketing actions within cinemas tracking performance against investment.
- Provide ad hoc reporting market intelligence and performance insights to the Marketing Department to support campaign decisions.
- Follow up on statistical analysis related to the placement and effectiveness of marketing materials and promotional activities.
- Recommend and oversee and in some cases negotiate venues for key marketing and publicity activities (junkets premieres press screenings etc.).
- Lead the planning and execution of exhibitor conventions special events and key industry screenings.
Leadership and Representation
- Set clear commercial objectives for the Distribution Team and provide coaching guidance and performance management.
- Supervise develop and motivate the team ensuring high standards of execution and collaboration.
- Represent the company institutionally in the absence of the VP Theatrical Distribution.
Non Theatrical
- Oversee non theatrical revenues and results (including external partner performance where applicable).
Local Production and Strategic Support
- Support the VP Theatrical Distribution & Local Production in local production and acquisitions by reading scripts assessing opportunities and developing recommendations.
- Provide comparative analysis of relevant titles and market benchmarks to inform investment and greenlight decisions.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with local producers ensuring continuity transparency and alignment on release plans and performance results.
- Provide and present information to producers on release plans continuity and performance of local titles.
- Actively participate in regulatory and industry processes including anti piracy dubbing and co official language legislation theatrical windows anti trust discussions and any other relevant regulatory topics.
Qualifications & Experience...
- In depth knowledge of the Spanish theatrical market and cinema industry.
- Strong commercial acumen and proven negotiation skills with major exhibition circuits.
- Excellent analytical capability including forecasting market share analysis and interpretation of performance drivers.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools; familiarity with database tools (e.g. Access) is a plus.
- Comfortable working with multiple data sources and translating insights into clear recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across Sales Marketing Finance Regional and Home Office teams.
- Fluent Spanish and professional level English.
