Power Platform Developer (Power BI Focus) – Contract

What Youll Do

We are seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer (Power BI Focus) on a contract basis to design enhance and support Power BI reporting and analytics solutions. This role is delivery-oriented and ideal for a consultant who can quickly understand business requirements work independently and produce high-quality scalable Power BI solutions within defined timelines.

The contractor will primarily focus on Power BI development with light integration into the broader Microsoft Power Platform as needed.

• Design develop and enhance Power BI reports dashboards and datasets based on business requirements
• Build and optimize data models using DAX and Power Query (M)
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and ensure appropriate access controls
• Improve report performance refresh reliability and usability
• Translate loosely defined requirements into clear actionable analytics

Power Platform & Integration

• Integrate Power BI with SharePoint Excel Power Apps Power Automate and Dataverse as required
• Support embedded Power BI and cross-workspace reporting scenarios
• Provide recommendations on Power Platform best practices and architecture

Stakeholder & Delivery Support

• Collaborate with business users analysts and technical teams during the contract period
• Provide documentation knowledge transfer and handoff at project milestones
• Troubleshoot and resolve Power BIrelated issues efficiently

Qualifications :

Who You Are:

• 3 years of hands-on Power BI development experience
• Strong expertise in DAX Power Query (M) and dimensional data modeling
• Experience with Power BI Service workspaces apps and deployment pipelines
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Ability to work independently and deliver against tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate
• Familiarity with Azure data services (Azure SQL Synapse Data Factory)
• Experience in Power BI Premium / Microsoft Fabric environments
• Microsoft certifications (e.g. PL-300)
• Prior consulting or contract-based project experience
