An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Traffic Planner / Designer to join Service Stream in our Dandenong office

About the Role

Service Streams Traffic division are currently seeking a Traffic Planner / Designer to join our growing company. You will be responsible for the efficient and effective provision of Traffic Management Plans and advice: including traffic management functions expert advice on traffic planning and management and operations to wide range of Service Stream Activities

Nature of position: Permanent Full Time

Location: Dandenong VIC

Reporting Line: Traffic Operations Manager


Contract Performance

As a Traffic Planner youll play a critical role in ensuring compliance with VicRoads standards delivering work zone traffic guidance schemes and supporting project teams with traffic control strategies. Youll liaise with DOT local councils and key stakeholders to maintain smooth operations and uphold safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop review and update Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGSs) using RapidPlan.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with approved TMPs.
  • Provide proactive solutions and value-add recommendations to clients.
  • Collaborate with planning and delivery teams to meet contractual performance targets.
  • Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies and councils.

About You

  • Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan certification (mandatory).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in traffic management for complex road construction projects.
  • Current accreditation in one or more of the following:
    • Apply MoAs
    • Prepare Traffic Management Plans
    • Implement Traffic Guidance Schemes
    • Select and Modify Traffic Guidance Schemes
    • Design and Inspect Traffic Guidance Schemes
    • Advanced Worksite Traffic Management (AWTM)
    • TMD 1/2/3 (Traffic Management Designer) Skill Set

  • Proficiency in RapidPlan
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and report writing skills.
