Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on patient care and client interaction and who thrives in a team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities
Safely and properly restrain dogs and cats for exams and procedures
Perform blood draws on both canine and feline patients
Prepare and handle medications and vaccines as directed by veterinarians
Assist in routine wellness exams and patient care
Run in-house diagnostic tests (bloodwork lab work etc.)
Operate in-house laboratory equipment including AI lab machines
Coordinate and process external lab submissions with Antech Diagnostics
Medical Records & Documentation
Accurately interpret and follow doctors notes
Maintain and update patient medical records
Ensure proper documentation within EzyVet and ScribbleVet systems
Client Communication
Answer phones professionally and assist clients with inquiries
Schedule and manage appointments using EzyVet
Provide clear communication regarding services follow-ups and basic care instructions
Team Support & Clinic Operations
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized clinic
Support team members across roles as needed (front desk tech support etc.)
Contribute to a collaborative team-oriented environment
