Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to monitor City departments grant implementation and projects to ensure compliance with City policy ordinances as well as federal and state regulations. The Compliance Officer will host compliance orientations and compliance monitoring reviews for internal and external agencies funded through the Citys General Fund and through the Development Corporation of McAllen Inc. The position may also assist in the preparation and assembly of grant applications and in solidifying proposed grant budgets. This position also includes compliance with federal state and local laws and regulations regarding the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) HOME Investments Partnership Program and other federal and state assisted programs. This job works independently under limited supervision reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
