Job Summary

Coordinator

Extended School Year 2026

JOB GOAL:The Coordinator for the Extended School Year is responsible for the overall coordination management and implementation of the ESY collaboration with the Executive Director of Student Support Services the Coordinator will plan for and assign student case loads to staff as well as oversee the program.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree or above.
Strong organizational administrative and managerial skills.
A minimum of three years experience in special education teaching.
Demonstrated commitment to and experience in team building across organizational lines.
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate orally and in writing to diverse audiences.
Ability to effectively manage challenging student behaviors
Ability to demonstrate excellent communication with parents staff and coworkers
Ability to be flexible take initiative and be open to feedback
Ability to effectively collaborate with all ESY program staff members
Knowledge of safety principles and practices as they apply to group activities
Experience with direct interaction with students in teaching care-giving or service delivery.
Experience working directly with diverse populations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Plan supervise and implement the ESY program
Manage student enrollment process including outreach to middle schools
Supervise all ESY staff
Record staff hours keeping accurate documentation of hours worked and absences.
Ensure integration of instructors in program planning.
Maintain a safe learning environment and take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities.
Effective and regular communication with the Executive Director of Student Support Services about all aspects of summer program.
Provide ongoing communication with parents school staff administration and partnering agencies.

Dates and Position Hours:

Planning & Setting up Program: 20 hours
In-Service Date: June (TBD) 1-2 days
Program Dates: June 29 2026 - July 31 2026
Program Hours:8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday
Position Type: Seasonal Part-Time
Compensation: $50.00/hour
