This seminar explores in-depth the application of the law of evidence in the criminal trial -class learning will be conducted on the flipped classroom model. Students will be provided with audio-visual lectures prior to each class students will be paired up and will debate and examine various evidentiary issues and their application to fact scenarios.

This course builds on the theoretical knowledge gained by the students in the Law of Evidence course and equips them to apply those principles in a practical criminal law context.

Requirements:

The Common Law Section is seeking candidates who are leaders in the legal profession. An LL.B. J.D. or equivalent is for this position. Membership in the Law Society of Ontario in good standing is also . The successful candidate will have significant practical experience in the area of evidence law particularly in relation to criminal proceedings. Prior teaching experience will be considered an asset.

The Common Law Section reserves the right to select a candidate who does not fully meet each of these requirements where the candidates selection would be beneficial to the program the course the students or for a related reason.
