As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Champaign IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech media and telecom location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will complete routine foot patrols maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents and support teams and visitors with clear communication and customer-focused service. You will document observations report concerns promptly and contribute to a people-first culture that is agile reliable and innovative built on teamwork and integrity.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to site employees visitors and vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of office areas common spaces building exteriors and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access issues.
• Monitor access points and technology-focused work areas for unusual conditions report concerns to the appropriate contacts and document activities in required logs and/or systems.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating notifications assisting with crowd control and/or supporting first responders as directed.
• Complete routine reports incident documentation and shift handoffs communicating observations and follow-up needs to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
