Role Overview

The school is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Manager to lead the management and development of student data systems across the school.

This is a crucial role that supports senior leadership by ensuring accurate data collection analysis and reporting. The Data Manager will play a key role in driving school improvement by providing high-quality data insights.

Key Responsibilities

Managing and maintaining the schools management information systems (MIS)
Leading on data collection analysis and reporting across all key stages
Producing accurate reports on student attainment progress and attendance
Supporting senior leaders with data-driven decision making
Ensuring data accuracy consistency and integrity across systems
Coordinating assessment data cycles and deadlines
Training staff in the effective use of data systems
Managing statutory returns including school census
Ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations
Developing efficient systems for data reporting and analysis
Supporting exam data processes alongside the exams team

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be highly organised analytical and confident working with complex data sets. They will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate data clearly to a range of stakeholders.

A proactive approach and the ability to improve systems and processes will be essential.

Requirements

Experience working with data systems and analysis
Strong Excel and database management skills
Experience with school MIS systems (SIMS Arbor or Bromcom desirable)
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills
Understanding of GDPR and data protection
