May instruct and/or direct the work of a variety of others. Keeps necessary records and investigates rejects and failure patterns. Works to sketches diagrams drawings written and verbal instructions. Acts to maintain the integrity of processes and final product quality. MUST have 2-3 years plastic extrusion JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs required visual appraisal sampling and product testingUses phone email fax or paging resources as requiredResponds appropriately to system process or material problemsPlans and coordinates crew activitiesDemonstrates required understanding of equipment function and controlsPerforms all tasks associated with consistent work area cleanlinessEffectively uses all required computer and document resourcesPerforms required tasks using appropriate tools and methodsOrganizes and directs routine line operationsDemonstrates knowledge of appropriate material disposition including recyclingPerforms required tasks using appropriate methods and equipmentUses appropriate resources to identify locate or track materialsFollows SOPs using correct materials and toolsPerforms required tasks for product changeover and startupGenerates/maintains required records reports logs files etcUnderstands all job hazards demonstrates safe behaviorsInitiates maintains and interprets SPC tools required for this positionIs aware of and effectively uses appropriate support resourcesUnderstands and applies all required instructionsPerforms other duties as assignedREQUIRED TRAINING:Lock-out Tag outBasic hazardous communication PPEHook knifeConfined spacePHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Frequent to continuous standing/walkingFrequent pushing/pullingFrequent upper extremity useOccasional lifting up to 92 lbsOccasional firm grip sustainedADHERE TO COMPANY AND SAFETY POLICYFollow all safety and company policy including but not limited to proper PPE Attendance Cell Phone and Smoking.
