Job Summary
Integration Tester ServiceNow
Experience:
5 7 years
Role Summary
We are looking for an Integration Tester with strong experience in testing ServiceNow integrations with external enterprise systems. The role focuses on validating end to end inbound and outbound integrations ensuring data accuracy security reliability and compliance with integration standards across environments.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Testing (Core Focus)
Perform end to end testing of ServiceNow integrations including:
o Inbound and outbound REST / SOAP APIs
o IntegrationHub flows and spokes
o MID Server based integrations
Validate data exchange between ServiceNow and external systems for:
o Incident Change Problem Event Management
o CMDB and foundation data loads
Test Design & Execution
Analyse integration requirements and technical designs to create:
o Test scenarios
o Test cases
o Test data
Execute functional regression and negative test cases for integrations
Validate error handling retries and failure scenarios
Data Validation & Quality Assurance
Validate:
o Field mappings
o Transformation logic
o Reference data consistency
Ensure data integrity across ServiceNow tables and external systems
Verify CMDB reconciliation and update behaviour where applicable
Security & Access Validation
Validate integration security aspects:
o Service accounts and access roles
o Authentication mechanisms (OAuth Basic Auth Tokens)
Ensure integrations comply with least privilege and governance standards
Defect Management & Collaboration
Log track and retest integration defects
Work closely with:
o ServiceNow Developers
o Integration Owners
o Architects and Platform Admins
Support UAT and production readiness activities
Operational & Run Support
Support integration run activities by validating:
o Transaction volumes
o Failure scenarios
o Post deployment stability
Assist in monitoring integration health during releases and upgrades
Technical Skills (Mandatory)
Strong understanding of:
o REST & SOAP APIs
o JSON / XML payloads
Experience testing ServiceNow integrations involving:
o IntegrationHub
o MID Server
Knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM modules
Hands on experience with API testing tools (e.g. Postman or similar)
