Job Summary

description:

Provides care to medically complex patients in collaboration with the physician in a specialized acute care setting. Works within scope and experience and works autonomously and has authority responsibility and accountability for assessment planning implementation and evaluation of wound ostomy and continence care program throughout the inpatient care areas. Serves as a resource for wound care management including identification assessment treatment and prevention. Within scope and experience Pprovides specialized consultation on wound ostomy and continence issues for patients families nursing and medical staff. Serves as a consultant in the management of patients with draining wounds fistula and tubes. Serves as a consultant for the treatment of patients with altered skin integrity due to pressure necrosis drainage or incontinence. Works with physicians and nursing staff to provide updated information regarding wound care. Conducts rounds on all patients with wound/pressure ulcers and pressure injuries on an as needed basis.

requirement:

Day Shift M - F 8am to 4:30pm; Wound Care Certification 2 plus years of Wound Care Experience Familiar with Wound Vacs. Needs to be comfortable working independently and with others. No Call. Possibly open to 4 x and Work Experience:Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN): PreferredRelevant clinical nursing experience: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: RequiredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: RequiredWound care certification: Preferred with plan to achieve in determined time periodFacility Specific License/Certifications:AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
