Job Summary

ESYPhysical Therapist

Summer Program: July 6 2026 - August 6 2026

Schedule TBD up to 10 hours per week

Qualifications:

  • Massachusetts license in Physical Therapy.
  • Demonstrated proficient knowledge of child development with emphasis in anatomical and neurological maturation and its influence on development in gross motor skills with emphasis on school based services.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with students families and extended school year staff.
  • Such other alternatives as the Director of Student Services may deem acceptable and appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in concert with other special education teachers related services providers teaching assistants specialists and administrative personnel to implement viable extended year direct and consultative physical therapy services for special education students in accordance with their IEPs.
  • Suggest and/or provide adaptive equipment necessary for independence in activities of daily living as appropriate.
  • Complete progress reports behavior support plans communication logs data sheets and other data as required by local state and federal guidelines
  • Participate in staff meetings as needed providing updates and advice to the team including parents and guardians.
  • Work collaboratively with the ESY Coordinator and colleagues to provide effective student support.
  • Such other responsibilities may from time to time be assigned by the Director of Student Services and Extended School Year Coordinator.

Salary: In accordance with FEA contract
