Priority consideration will be provided to internal applicants first. Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred. Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.
Requirements: Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.

Position Summary:
Fast paced physical position in which a Team Member will pick up deliver and inspect eggs todeterminequality and fitness for incubation;cleans/sanitizes and storeseggsunder controlled conditions in egg facility. Other duties may be assigned.

Must havevaliddrivers license.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Pickup and deliverers eggsfrom chicken housesto egg facility(20%)
Observes eggs moving on conveyor through sanitizer;observesshell color/textureand external characteristics such as streaks shadings discolorations cracks(10%)
Place hatching eggs in buggiesand boxes and properly label both for internal/external orders(30%)
Properly performs egg inventorypractices and records daily inventory transactionsintoexcel spreadsheet(10%)
Performs the following sanitation activities:operateand clean egg sanitizer; remove waste (egg shells feathers fecesetc); clean and sanitize egg room connecting areas crates and flats and vehicles (20%)
Other duties responsibilities and activities:
These may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice such as::places broken dirty or other substandard eggs in container for disposal;monitorsconrols and recordsproper eggroomtemperatureshumidity controlsand perform simple math as part of computing chemical concentration of egg sanitizer; properly euthanize weak/ill birds in accordance with company policy (10%)
Biosecurity/Animal Welfare:
Thejobsiteis abiosecureenvironment which requires showeringchanging clothing and footwear before entering the facility.Appropriate clothing and footwearisprovided by the Company.No jewelry may be worn on the jobsiteexcept for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing.Must be willingto sign an agreement toavoid contact with any avian species (chickens ducks birds etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical: Mustuse safe lifting techniques.Mustregularlylift and/or move up to40 poundsrepetivelyup to 100 times per dayitems such astray of eggsetc; tools such as wheeled buggy may betooccasionallylift and/or move up to500 pounds. While performing the duties of this job the employee isregularlyrequired to stand majority of shift (concrete floor); walk; sit; usehands to handle or feel objects and controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; climbing/ladder usage; stoop/bend up to1000times per day; talk or hear; drive a vehicle within the farm complex; enter and exit vehicle up to100times daily. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.

Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safetygogglessafety glassesface shield chemical gloves waterproof apron and rubber boots are required.Ear plugs will be used as required.NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed.
Chemicals Commonly Used: Disinfectantssuch as SynergizeVirocidSimple Green Lysol FormaldehydeChlorofoam Acid-a-foam bleach etc.
Environment: Requiredto work on wet slippery surfaces and also work in hot dry dusty wet icy snowy and cold environments.
Safety:TM is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication Respiratory Protection LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment. TM is expected toidentifyaddressand mitigate safety related risks.
