Position Summary:
The Facility Compliance Officer is responsible forleading the implementation monitoring training and continuous improvement of the PCC and facility-level Export Compliance Programs to ensure adherence mitigate risk and promote a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the Export compliance requirements at facility.
- Serve as the primary facility liaison for all requirements under the PCC Export Compliance Program ensuring timely and accurate execution of all mandated actions.
Oversee facility compliance with ITAR EAR and other export control regulations including safeguarding of controlled items technical data and manufacturing processes.
- Establish and oversee Site Work Instructions and processes that implement the EC Program
- Have a working knowledge of what technical data is considered controlled and must be restricted and know the controls implemented at the facility to restrict unauthorized export of that data including a familiarity with the facilitys Technology Control Plan
- Ensure all technical data is clearly identified and marked/labeled in accordance with export control regulations.
- Maintain and communicate EC Program requirements to Site personnel;
Conduct routine assessments inspections and audits to ensure operational adherence to the corporate compliance policies.
Maintain comprehensive documentation and evidence of compliance activities for both internal stakeholders and auditors/monitors.
Develop deliver and track facility-level compliance training programs including required training related to the export controls physical security and operational procedures.
- Partner with HR to ensure key personnel receive annual training and new hires receive awareness training and information about company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all facility employees are aware of their role in export compliance.
- Work with sales engineering and purchasing personnel to ensure: awareness with Technology Control Plan awareness of visitor protocol and transfers of tech data are compliant with EAR and ITAR
Communicate regulatory updates compliance expectations and audit findings to leadership supervisors and employees.
Promote a proactive compliance culture through positive engagement coaching and clear expectations.
Identify compliance risks and gaps and lead the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
Escalate significant issues promptly to corporate compliance leadership and serve as the on-site subject matter expert for risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure proper access control visitor management and facility-security procedures aligned with ITAR/EAR requirements.
Serve as an accessible resource for supervisors and teams navigating complex regulatory questions.
Required Skills and Experience:
5 years of experience in compliance export controls aerospace manufacturing or related regulatory environments
Strong working knowledge of ITAR EAR and U.S. export control laws.
Exceptional communication documentation and organizational skills.
- Strong project management skills and proven track record
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive controlled information appropriately.
- High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
